The Allentown Parking Authority has seen a strong increase in mobile parking payments across our lots, decks and street meter parking. More residents, visitors, downtown employees, and customers are choosing convenient payment options like PayByPhone and ParkMobile instead of traditional payment methods.

Because of this growth, the APA is moving the North Lot at 116 N 7th Street to a Mobile / Permit Only parking format. Permit holders may continue using the lot as normal, and paid parkers can use PayByPhone or ParkMobile by selecting the correct lot and location code.

This update helps make parking faster, cleaner, and easier to manage. Mobile payments reduce the need for physical payment equipment, give parkers a more convenient way to pay, and allow users to add time directly from their phones when available.

It also supports better lot operations by helping the APA modernize parking services, improve access, and continue offering more practical parking options for residents, visitors, and downtown businesses.
