Vehicles in Allentown may be impounded for the following reasons:
To have a vehicle towed for 72-Hour Violation
Call the Communication Center at 610-437-7751 with the Make, Model, Color, License plate number and Location of the vehicle. The Communication Center will transfer the information to the Allentown Parking Authority, at which time an officer will place a warning notice on the vehicle and mark the placement of the vehicle.
After at least 72 hours from the date of the Warning, the Parking Authority will return to the location. If the vehicle has not been moved, it will be towed and impounded.
To have a vehicle towed for Unauthorized Vehicle on Private Property
Call the Allentown Parking Authority at 610-437-2103 with the Make, Model, Color, License plate number, Location of the vehicle and a daytime phone number where you can be reached. The property owner or authorized manager must sign an authorization form before the vehicle (s) can be removed.
After the required forms are signed, the owner of the vehicle is notified that they must remove the vehicle within 5 days or it will be towed. After 5 days have passed and if the vehicle remains on the property, it will be towed. There is a towing fee of $75.00 per vehicle charged to the property owner for each vehicle removed. This towing fee is refundable if and when the vehicle is claimed.
